Starting on Monday, January 9, Attleboro Public Schools will adjust the way attendance alerts are sent to a student’s contacts. Moving forward, the primary contact for any student who is marked absent will be sent a text and phone message, regardless if you have already notified the school. If you do not receive a message from the school, please reach out to the main office at your student’s school to confirm your mobile number is correct in our database. Alternatively, families may complete the “APS Student Contact Update” workflow in Aspen. Instructions on how to complete this workflow can be found here: https://5il.co/1ldxt

Congrats to the 14U Attleboro White Hawks cheer team, who took first place at the Regionals competition in Providence, RI. They placed 1st out of 10 teams and are the New England champions. They traveled to Florida for the National Championship and placed 3rd in the entire country. Congrats ladies, your hard work paid off and we are proud of you!

December 14th: Just a reminder that students will be dismissed at 11:30 AM today for Parent/Teacher Conferences

APS will be testing our alert system for families on Wednesday, December 14 at 10:00 AM. The alert will be sent as a text message to the mobile number that is on file in Aspen. Schools will reach out immediately following the test message for families who do not receive it.

Just a reminder that tomorrow, Dec 14th is a 1/2 day of school. Students will be let out at 11:30 AM

Dear Parents and Guardians  APS is currently updating the mobile phone numbers on record so that we can send school cancellations and other urgent notices via text message. We ask that you update your contact information in Aspen using the workflow directions listed here: https://5il.co/1ldxt  If you have multiple students, please complete the workflow for each one. Families who wish to have their child(ren) receive text messaging from the district/school, should provide student cell phone number(s) through this workflow as well.

In the main foyer, you will see our Coelho Giving Tree. We understand that this year, more than any other, economic constraints are impacting all of us, including even our most needy students and families. In an attempt to give back to our community, the Giving Tree contains basic needs items (e.g., socks, mittens, coats, sweaters) and wish list gifts for students and siblings (e.g., books, puzzles, crafts). We are sponsoring about eight families this year. On the tree, you will find red slips which contain the child's age, gender, and requested item on the back. If you take an "ornament" from the tree, please return the requested item (unwrapped) along with the slip to the main office by December 15th. We thank you in advance for all of your ongoing support to both the Coelho community and Attleboro community as a whole.
