Lesson plan on Islam called Caravans  Lesson plan showing the  three main concepts students should understand about the spread of Islam and the contributions the Islamic people have made to the world.  It was written for fourth grade and from a historical rather than religious perspective.

Celebrations Lesson Plans  Celebrations, a collection of lesson plans for elementary school teachers developed by students at Utah State University.  These mini units were developed to show that celebrations reflect values that are important in a culture, that there are different types of celebrations, that people celebrate for different reasons and finally, special food, clothes, music, and symbols may be part of these celebrations.  Not all of the Celebrations are religion many are cultural and national celebrations

Rituals and Rites of Passage  A Celebrations lesson plan for 5th and 6th grade focusing on rituals and rites of passages.  The rites of passage in this unit are birth, coming of age, leaving home, wedding and funeral.  Developed at Utah State University.
