| Introduction |
Wanted: Travel experts on various countries of Asia in order to encourage travel to those countries. The countries of India, China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Israel are looking for teams of students to convince prospective travelers to visit their countries.
Requirements: Willingness to travel, four or five person teams to research location and place, region, movement and human-environment interaction of these countries.
Benefits: Knowledge, experience, connections to state standards and social studies grade.
Your Task: In groups of four or five, you will become travel agents for a particular country of Asia and divide yourselves into location/place expert, region expert, movement expert and human-environment expert (descriptions below) and research your given country according to your expertise. You will then create a group presentation of at least five minutes to convince others to travel to your country. Your presentation is to be created by the group ( a backboard with many visuals is suggested). You must include a handout of a brochure or postcard (in 4/5 sections) showing briefly, the five themes of geography in relationship to your country. The rest of the presentation is up to you ( pictures, artifacts, music, etc.). See rubrics for grade outline.

Regions Expert: Regions can be physical (Asia, mountainous, desert, plains, lowlands, etc.) political (democratic, communist governments), agricultural (rice growing, wheat growing, fishing), industrial (high tech., clothing, oil producing, etc.) Examine these regions of your country and describe the various regions it would be included in and why.
Questions to answer:

Location/Place Expert:
The study of locations includes both exact (absolute location, latitude and longitude) and relative location (where the country is in relation to other regions, countries and physical features around it).
The study of place includes looking at the "human" place (history, government, languages, religion, and social practices) and the "physical" place (climate, elevation, land forms, animal life and vegetation.
Questions to answer - Location:

Movement Expert:
How people get themselves and their stuff from place to place is included in a study of movement. Airports, roads, water and other forms of travel are the focus here. Find out how people and goods in your assigned country get around (Don’t forget importing and exporting). The movement of ideas is also included here.Questions to answer:

| Try to find out how ideas traveled to your country in the past, and how do ideas travel in the present (newspapers, TV, radio, Internet, etc)? |

Human-Environment Interaction Expert:
Human-Environment Interaction is the study of how people have interacted and are impacting the environment. Are rivers polluted by industry? How are natural resources managed, what are the possible environmental effects of other human decisions? Look at the influence people have over the environment in your country.Questions to answer:
